Former Lagos state governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu's first daughter, Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo has been installed as the new Iyaloja of Lagos State ,and the President General of the Market Men and Women of Nigeria.
The installation ceremony took place today at the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu. Ahmed Bola Tinubu's mother was the one who occupied that position until her death some feww months back.
There was some great deal of murmuring from the market women initially, as they feel Foladhade is too young for the position, and that there are more elderly women fit for the post. but as we all can see it is a transferable ''oye''...or should we call it ''oye idile''.

Patrick Obahiagbon, the Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, in this interview, he talks about his controversial way of speaking and why he chooses to speak that way.
It is one very long but hilarious interview.
What is your educational background.
I am by the grace of the celestial choir, a legal practitioner, a public administrator, an international historian and a diplomat. I earned a degree in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria about 25 years ago and I do also have a double-barreled Master’s degree in Public Administration and in International History and Diplomacy.
Why do you always speak ‘big grammar’?
I am not really consensus ad idem with those who opine that my idiolect is advertently obfuscative. No no no, it’s just that I am in my elements when the colloquy has to do with the pax nigeriana of our dreams and one necessarily needs to fulminate against the alcibiadian modus vivendi of our prebendal political class.
See more head blowing grammar after the cut. hehehe

“And we would be bringing you hot juice about the Fowlers very soon, remember if it’s hot dirt then you can count on us to dig it out. See you next week”
Nene regarded Tolu with disdain, as the latter’s phony smile faded into a frown as soon she was done wrapping the show for the following week. Why was she promising the audience, dirt on the Fowlers when they had nothing concrete about the supposed secret those ones were keeping? What if she didn’t have news when it was time to shoot the next episode?
“Please I need to eat before we continue shoot, I am too hungry and tired to continue like this” Tolu grumbled and pulled out her mic. The producer tried to convince her to take another shot, but she was having none of it.
“Nene, you don become news o! No be you be dis for 360nobs.com?”

About a year ago, I watched my friend go through the harrowing ordeal of trying to recover from rape; it was an experience that changed her life....and mine as well. Its easier to shrug off certain painful experiences when they happen to faceless names you neither know nor have a relationship with. Most of us don't really understand how horrific such things could be until it strikes close to home; a friend, a loved one, a family member.
One thing I haven't yet understood, despite my numerous pondering, is what the average rapist gains from inflicting such violence on another human being. How can a human being gain pleasure in debasing a lady while watching her go through hell in the process? I know there are all kinds of psychological, sociological and even spiritual explanations for why the mind of a man could be so warped as to engage in such dastardly acts.
The former P.A to Nigerian comedy actor Mr.Latin is dead. He was Mr Latin's P.A for 8 years until last year when he stopped working for him. He was said to have killed himself by jumping into a river in the U.S.
Mr Lanre decided to start living in the U.S last year when he stayed back after a visit to Mr Latin, who is in the U.S, furthering his studies.
He was said to have been living in Minnesota, but later moved to Texas where he started to make money, and was living the good life.
but things changed for him this year, with his friends complaining that he started behaving abnormally and he totally refused to talk to anyone.
Some are insinuating that it's a spiritual attack and all efforts made by his friends to save the situation proved abortive.
No one knew his identity until his ID card was found.

“I’m a survivor, I’m not gon give up, I’m not gon stop, I’m gon work harder, I’m gon make it, I’ll survive, keep on surviving” Destiny Child: Survivor.
She tossed and turned and then eventually, rolled over and hit her leg on something; okay it was someone she realised. She tried to remember where exactly she was. Her eyes flickered open and groggily, she sat up in bed. Slowly, she surveyed the room and gradually it dawned on her where she was, it was with Chief Koko, the man she’d come home with from the party the night before.
He slept noisily beside her now, sounding like an old truck with serious engine problems and that made her frown. She eyed him with slight disdain as his bare stomach made some sort of rhythmic movement that rhymed with his noisy breathing. He was naked, his buttocks was revealed under the duvet that was supposed to cover him and that he had somehow found his way out of.
She’d slept with him last night.
It was the first time she was sleeping with Chief Koko, a former governor and aspiring money launderer but it wasn’t the first time she’d slept with one of his kind. That was the only way she kept body and soul together, apart from that job of hers, which she loved so much but which barely paid her enough to pay her rent.
Her job! Suddenly remembering that she was late and that it was a Monday, she scrambled out of bed briskly, raced to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror when her reflection caught her eye, her hair was dishevelled, she was nude and she felt slightly woozy; the liquor from last night maybe. She hadn’t prepared to bathe in this man’s hotel suite the night before but now she had no choice, she had to freshen up here and quickly rush home to find something to wear to work.

Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah has responded to query issued her by the President where she explained her role in the scandalous purchase of the N225million BMW armored cars.
Read her reasons below...
Executive summary on the procurement of NCAA operational vehicles“The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, is the statutory regulator of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Industry.
Consequently, the NCAA is charged with oversight responsibilities over all civil aviation operations in the country, including safety, security and strict compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, SARPs, and Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, NCARs.
2. Towards the effective implementation of its statutory regulatory responsibilities, therefore, it is imperative that the NCAA is fully equipped with highly specialised tools and facilities, including adequate operational vehicles to cover all 22 national airports and over 400 airstrips. In keeping with standard practice, provision is therefore made annually for the replacement of obsolete, inadequate & unreliable monitoring equipment.
According to the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, the Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has set up a three-man panel to investigate the N225million armoured car scandal rocking the aviation ministry and the aviation minister, Stella Oduah.
Mr Reuben Abati said the panel will be chaired by the immediate past Head of Service, Sali Bello and will include the National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, and Air Vice Marshal Dik Iruenebere. The panel is to find out why the cars were bought and whether the procurement of the cars followed due process or not.
The aviation minister, Stella Oduah was conspicuously absent at today's Federal Executive Council meeting.
Saharareporters reported that she travelled out of Nigeria yesterday for some undisclosed reasons.

Another car purchase scandal has hit the embattled Minister of aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, less than a week after a report showed with evidence how two BMW bullet-proof cars worth N255 million were purchased for Oduah in August.
The latest report by SaharaReporters, an online news source, alleged that the National Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, an agency under the Ministry of Aviation, also bought four Toyota Tundra vehicles for Oduah at an unspecified amount of money.
The same medium had on 15 October revealed the BMW purchase by the cash-strapped Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.
Lobatan! is when people say you u be waka about, and you now wear this on an evening stroll...lol *********btw, you guys should not be suprised when you see babes rocking this ''ese ediye'' pumps.hehehe
BEYOND the howls of outrage at the illegal purchase (with public funds) of bulletproof cars for Stella Oduah, the Minister of Aviation, Nigerians need to come to terms with the reality that the government has lost the war on corruption. The scandal partly explains why our airspace is dangerous; why billions of naira poured into the sector have not revived the industry and why officials charged with managing air transport are obsessed with their own comfort. Indeed, Oduahgate, if not properly handled, will have shattering implications for the Jonathan government.
While calls for the sacking of the manifestly incompetent minister have rightly gathered momentum, the Nigerian government must resolve to cleanse the aviation sector, initiate widespread reforms and flush out the obsequious and irredeemably corrupt bureaucrats that have held it hostage. Most importantly, we have to deal with the twin evils of pervasive corruption and the monumental waste represented by a bloated and over-pampered public service.
The task is daunting. President Goodluck Jonathan has, in three years in office, failed to demonstrate purposeful leadership and only pays lip service to fighting corruption and prudent financial management. It is dismaying enough that Oduah apparently sees nothing inappropriate in her actions and public anger over the $1.6 million (about N250 million) purchase, but it is even more troubling that the President has not deemed it fit to fire her. The National Assembly that should protect the public interest and exercise oversight on the executive is equally greedy and uncaring. A passive electorate and weak civil institutions have also fostered a culture of impunity and lack of accountability in those occupying public office.

When SaharaReporters broke the news of the scandalous purchase of two BMW armoured Cars by the cash-strapped Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Stella Oduah and her collaborators went silent, hoping that the two-day Muslim public holiday would blunt the report.
Instead of responding the allegations Mrs. Oduah reportedly called on the Reno Omokri, the social media man at the Presidential Villa to handle scandal.
Reno's job includes using a loose network of paid "anti-bloggers" to attack the credibility of such reports by leaving comments on Facebook, Twitter, Blackberry Messengers and the comments sections of websites.
The “anti-bloggers” went straight to work by claiming that Mrs. Oduah’s signature was not found on the documents SaharaReporters published and as such, that she could not have been involved. As that argument didn't seem to hold water, they quickly started a new line of argument to the effect that she was sufficiently wealthy before becoming a minister and thus could afford the cars.
That line of argument was the first official reaction from the minister's office through the spokesperson of the Federal Airports Authority, Yakubu Dati.
If Mrs. Oduah thought Mr. Datti's intervention would work, it turned out to be a failure as the response outraged the Nigerian public which was reeling from recent accidents in the aviation sector.
Scientists have revealed one of the most dramatic discoveries in human origins with a perfectly preserved fossilised skull of an ape-like man who lived about 1.8 million years ago.
The discovery, along with the remains of four other individuals who lived at the same time, in the same place, has generated intense excitement among palaeontologists who believe the finds could re-write the early history of human evolution.
The skull and its lower jawbone were found at a palaeontology site near the medieval town of Dmansi in the foothills of the Caucuses in Georgia, which has become one of the most important centres for understanding human origins outside Africa.
A team of researchers has spent the past eight years studying the fossil skull, which was first excavated in 2005, and its jawbone, discovered in 2000 but only now re-united with its "owner".
The first scientific description of "skull 5", published in the journal Science, indicates that the adult male had a large, long face, heavy features, large jaw and teeth but an exceptionally small brain case, less than half of the size of a typical human today and not much bigger than a gorilla's brain.
The four other skulls are thought to have belonged to an elderly, toothless male, another adult male, a young female and an adolescent of unknown sex. The scientists do not know whether they were part of the same family group or had lived at precisely the same time.
