The current situation in Ekiti state; once tagged Fountain of Knowledge is not just appalling but defies and negates everything that knowledge stands for. I wonder what is honourable in the present state if quagmire that politics has succeeded in dragging our beloved state into; a state now regarded to as Land of Honour.

The fisticuffs and fierce warfare been engaged by these political gladiators and their unrepentant cum blind followers with the umpire been caught at the center and allegedly converted into punching bags is sickening and void of morals!

Nyanya bombing: DSS,Police fight in court over Ogwuche’s trial

The planned arraignment of  the alleged mastermind of the April 14, bomb blast that killed over 75 persons at a motor park in Nyanya Abuja, Aminu Ogwuche, was stalled yesterday owing to bickering between the Department of State Service, DSS, and the Nigerian Police Force, over which of them should be allowed to conduct the trial.
Sequel to a heated argument that ensued between lawyers from the two security agencies yesterday, the Judge in charge of the case, Justice Ademola Adeniyi, said he was left with no option than to adjourn the matter till November 10, to enable Federal Government to put its house in order. It will be recalled that  Federal Government had in its bid to expedite the process of extraditing the accused person from Sudan where he escaped to shortly after the terrorist attack, entered a three-count criminal charge before the High Court.
The charge which was endorsed by the Inspector General of Police, was still pending before the High Court when the accused person was successfully returned to the country with the help of the Interpol in Sudan.

THE Senate yesterday was thrown into rowdy session following the approval of the $1 billion loan request by President Goodluck Jonathan to tackle the ongoing security challenges in the country.
Trouble started when the Chairman, Senate Joint Committee on Finance; and Local and Foreign Debt, Senator Ahmad Makarfi had recommended the approval of the request.
Senator Makarfi’s motion for the loan to be approved was then subjected to debate by senators. It was after the debate that the Senate President, David Mark put it to vote.
Although the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP senators were in the majority, the All Progressives Congress, APC, senators shouted on top of their voices and the Senate President ruled in favour of the yes. His ruling immediately provoked protests from APC senators and it took about five minutes before calm returned to the chamber.

New music: Arise Ft. Don Jazzy, Di'Ja and Reekado Banks

Between Congolese prophet and TB Joshua....

Cogolese Jean-Claude Kibondzi is one of the thousands of worshippers who crave to see TB Joshua. He said that he is based in Sweden and that he has not been able to meet TB Joshua since he started coming to Nigeria in 2012. He calls himself a prophet and predicts that more buildings at the Synagogue may collapse.

He speaks in a manner that casts doubt over his sanity.
Read the interview below:

You said God revealed things to you. What were they?
T.B Joshua is a messiah. He is not a real human being. He is a special creator from God and it is only God that knows why he chose to use that body. There is likely no man of God who is spiritually endowed. It is only those who are filled with the spirit of God that can understand him and that is why demons tremble when they come close to him. Again, I want to say T.B Joshua is the fulfillment of the promise of God in Mathew 21 verse 42 to 44.

You said God revealed the building collapse to you. Which other revelation has God shown you that has come to pass?
God has shown me many Prophecies like the fall of the Catholic church and the fall of the Pope. I sent these prophecies via mail to SCOAN. I even call the church but nothing tangible has come out of it.

Australian negotiator replies to Asari Dokubo...

I read with interest Asari Dokubo’s comments published on September 14 in the Daily Post.
Asari is quite correct in saying that he knows me well and has met members of my family. In 2004, the Niger Delta was aflame with conflict. Asari, Ateke Tom and Tompolo were waging a fierce war against the Nigerian federal and state governments. Many people had been killed.

Nigerian military were having trouble contending with Asari’s guerrilla warfare. Small, highly mobile and heavily armed militant forces in fast boats struck across the Niger Delta targeting oil installations and military posts. Nigeria’s oil output at one point dropped to as low as 600,000 barrels per day and on average was halved to one million barrels per day.

This was a devastating blow to Nigeria’s economy and the operations of the major international oil companies. Apart from the economic impact, communities were suffering from the conflict with many innocent people killed in military efforts to purge the communities of militants.
My wife and I were living in Port Harcourt and, in 2004, I explored the idea of a peace deal with an Ijaw friend, Von Kemedi. As an Ijaw, he knew Asari who was also Ijaw. Von was able to make contact with Asari who agreed to meet with me.

ETCETERA says falling in love is stupid...

Sincerely, I really don’t care what all the love songs say and what the romantic movies and novels would have you believe.

Falling in love is a waste of time and does no one any good. It wears off sooner than later and leaves you staring at your palms like an idiot.

I see a lot of romantically challenged people asking Cupid to shoot an arrow straight into their lover’s heart. How does anyone survive an arrow in the heart and love you right back? And again, can you be sure how good a shooter Mr. Cupid is? What if he misses and shoots her straight in the eye instead? I guess that won’t bother you too, isn’t love supposed to be blind after all?

Women in their forties enjoy sex more- new study reveals.

As couples approach the middle years, it is believed that their bodies, psychology, hormones, lifestyles and sexual responses change. This change, many opine could be gradual or subtle but could reduce or increase sex life.

However, a new study says none of these changes interferes with a full sex life of women. The study claims that women grow increasingly satisfied with their sex lives after they turn 40.

The study states that sex has simply become an act or another activity of fun like a game of basketball for women in such older age or 40 above, knowing that they may not be able to get pregnant again when above menopause age.

How The Law of Karma and Reincarnation Operates and Affects Your Life.By Emmanuel Ebah.

In this world, every nation has a ministry or department of justice, which designs, enforces and reinforces the rules that oversee the conduct of citizens; and also define the legal principles that govern the manner in which citizens interact with one another.

Citizens have the right to exercise their civil liberties and human rights, but in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others. Therefore, the aim of the law of any nation is to ensure that citizens go about their businesses and activities in a manner that complies with the established legal rules of conduct. Citizens who deliberately or erroneously breach established legal rules may forfeit their freedom and be sent to jail; or compelled to pay a fine.
Nonetheless, citizens who conduct their activities in strict adherence to customary legal rules never ever run into trouble.

Entertainers Desmond Elliot, 9ice and KSB speaks on controversies...

Different strokes for different folks. Ever since some entertainers declared their intention to seek elective offices, the decision has been welcomed with mixed reaction and several controversies.

The likes of Desmond Elliot, 9ice and KSB are some of the entertainers who have gone under public scrutiny over their political ambition.

For popular Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, whose eye is set on the Lagos State House of Assembly, the bone of contention has been on the name ‘Olushola’ which he has adopted.

Until recently, a lot of Nigerians did not know the actor is a Yoruba man till his campaign posters surfaced online. In a chat with Saturday Beats, the actor said that he has never denied his ethnicity. He said that while growing up, the name everybody called him was Shola.

Synagogue Church

The Lagos State Government has moved against the popular Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun, whose one of its buildings collapsed last week killing scores of people including a 10-year-old kid with many others critically injured.

The structure, which was under construction, was initially a two-storey building before the addition of four new floors which were under construction.

As of Thursday, the death toll in the building collapse hit 80. Among the dead were 67 South Africans.

The Lagos State Building Control Agency has, therefore, marked the main building of the church, asking for relevant documents to prove its structural integrity.

The General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency, Mrs. Abimbola Animashaun-Odunayo, who confirmed that the building had been marked by the agency in a phone interview with Saturday PUNCH, said it had requested that the church provides some documents, adding that a structural integrity test would be carried out on all the buildings in the church complex.

Nigeria's explanation over seized $9.3m rejected by South-Africa!

Investigators in South Africa have dismissed Nigerian government’s explanations of the purpose of the $9.3 million cash seized from two Nigerians and an Israeli as “flawed and riddled with discrepancies”. The suspects told South African authorities that the money was meant for the procurement of arms for Nigerian intelligence agencies.
“… Although various explanations about the money were given to the investigating officer, these explanations were flawed and riddled with discrepancies,” the South African prosecution agency said in a statement sent to this newspaper.
The jet used to ferry the money is owned by Ayo Oritsejafor, who heads the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. Mr. Oritsejafor, a cleric, said he is not aware of the arms deal.

Catholic faithfuls pulls out of CAN. see their reasons.

Catholic Bishops of Nigeria

The Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN, an umbrella body for the country’s teeming Christians, descended into full-blown crisis Wednesday with the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria making public its decision to pull out of the fold over  the way the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor-led executive is running the association. The Catholic bishop’s action is perhaps the first time in the  association’s 37-year history that any of its five blocs would pull out over alleged poor leadership and politicization of the association. CAN was formed in 1976 by five Christian blocs in the country: the Christian Council of Nigeria; the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria; Organisation of African Instituted Churches, and the Evangelical Fellowship of West Africa.

TB Joshua claims he was the target of the collapsed building at SCOAN.

The preacher has claimed he was the target of the building collapse that claimed about 40 lives at the synagogue...
Here is what he said to back his claim up;
“Immediately I left the prayer room (which is a 10-minute drive from the church) for the church, I got a call that a jet was hovering over the prayer room but as I finished bathing and moved to the prayer room, I got another call that the jet has moved to the church and that was it.

While addressing journalists yesterday, the Prophet showed them a CCTV footage to prove his point. In the footage, a plane was seen flying over the collapsed guest house at four different times on Friday morning- 11: 30 a.m, 11: 43 a.m, 11:45 a.m and 11: 54 a.m, before it collapsed at about 12:44pm.
Members cannot be the target, the easier way to stop this church is to get the head and from my explanation, you know the truth” he said.
