That eerie moment when a shark trails a surfer to the shore.

The thought of this makes me shudder...

Thank God the shark didnt get him, and thanks to the onlookers who alerted him of the stalker...

He didnt seem ruffled by he incident though,...saying his casual approach was a decision made on adrenaline.

speaking to Esperance express , he said:
"I'd rather try to hold my ground against it and not freak out and make a commotion," he said.

"It seemed just curious and I didn't want to give it a reason to chase me so I tried to behave casually and keep an eye on it.

"But I didn't know it came up quite so close as I was paddling into the wave to come into the beach with the other lads."

Mr Johnston came to the reef briefly before returning to the water to surf the break alone.

He said he didn't think the shark posed a threat.

"It wasn't that big, it looked smaller than a dolphin," he said.

"If you're going to say a shark is a threat every time you see one, well that's not true.

Collapsed Synagogue building wasnt registered, nor was it approved by Lagos govt.

Synagogue.jpg6

The Synagogue Church building which collapsed early September killing 116 people was never registered or approved by Lagos State authorities, a hearing into the cause of the disaster, heard Thursday.
The Lagos State Government said the collapsed guest house within the premises of the church, had no building permit. The building collapsed on September 12, killing more than 100, majority of them South Africans.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Olutoyin Ayinde, made the information known while testifying at the ongoing Coroner’s inquest into the incident.
Mr. Ayinde told the inquest chaired by Oyetade Komolafe that investigations carried out by the ministry showed that the six-storey building had no approval.
“From our records, we saw the approval in the name of Synagogue Church of All Nations dated Jan.26, 2004,” he said. “The approval was just for the main auditorium of the church. It was an approval for a five-floor development.”
He said on a visit to the site, a government team discovered that the building had been raised to an eighth floor; making the additional three floors illegal structures.

Ayo Fayose

As reported by Punchng.com,

The governor said this in Abuja on Thursday while defending the concept of “stomach infrastructure” introduced by his government.

He told journalists that it would be wrong to assume that stomach infrastructure meant only sharing of food and money to the people.

Fayose said, “I also go to beer parlour on Fridays to stay with the common men there. Governance is not church; it is about diverse characters and you must relate with them as such.

“Christmas is coming, why do people go out of their ways to be shopping or doing other things if it is not just to make people merry?

Reasons why grapes should be included in your diet..

I was just strolling on the net when i came across this very useful health tips, and would like to share with you all. they are the benefits of eating grapes.
there is this amazing element called  resveratrol, found in purple or red grapes, which does abso;utely wonders in the human body.
Here below are some of the amazing healing benefits of resveratrol:
CULLED

Power Up Your Weight Loss

Exciting research led by MaryAnne DellaFera, PhD at the University of Georgia found that resveratrol (particularly when combined with soy isoflavones) works on the body in two ways to significantly assist with weight loss efforts: 1) it dramatically reduces cells’ ability to store fat by about 130 percent; and 2) causes fat cells to disintegrate at a rate 246 percent higher than normal.

Protect Your Heart

In research, resveratrol demonstrated the ability to improve the dilation of blood vessels, which may allow blood to flow more easily through blood vessels.  It has also been shown to relax the walls of the blood vessels, making their diameter larger, thereby lowering blood pressure, and allowing a higher volume of blood to flow through all areas of the body, delivering increased oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells.  Another study found that just 10 mg of supplementary resveratrol resulted in a dramatic reduction in heart-attack risk factors.

Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi
AMAECHI HAS LOST DECORUM-FG.

The Presidency on Sunday came down hard on Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State over some allegations he made against President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, on Saturday.

While speaking at the All Progressives Congress mega rally held in Port Harcourt, Amaechi had, among other allegations, accused Jonathan of not implementing any project in the state and that the President had encouraged corruption as well as meddling in Rivers State’s internal affairs.

But the Presidency, in a statement by the Special Adviser to Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, described the allegations as “false and baseless vituperations.”

Abati said the governor’s unwarranted outburst was an indication that he had lost all sense of propriety, decorum and responsible political behaviour.

He said Amaechi was peddling the falsehood in order to incite the people of the state and the country against “his assumed political foes.”

He said, “Governor Rotimi Amaechi took his obnoxious willingness to denigrate the highest office in the land in a reckless bid to advance his selfish political interests to a new level of irresponsible and rascally behaviour yesterday (Saturday) in Port Harcourt with his totally false and baseless vituperations against President Jonathan, the First Lady and the Federal Government.

Igbinedion loses lawsuit to reclaim N3.3 billion lost to Venezuelan fraudsters

A legal bid by a former governor of Edo State, Lucky Igbinedion, to recover N3.3 billion he lost to Venezuelan fraudsters in a weird oil deal, has been quashed by a United States District Court.
The 2006 transaction, facilitated by former Venezuelan Ambassador, Enrique Arrundell, was enmeshed in a pile of intrigues so deep that the court ruled that the deal might not even have happened in the first place.
According to the court, beyond evidence of money transfers to New York and Swiss bank accounts, very little about the deal can be “established with any certainty.”
Part of the messy details surrounding the deal was the less-than-wholesome involvement of Nigerian oil and gas heavyweight, MRS Oil and Gas Limited, at a time when it had not even commenced business.
MRS is owned by Sayyu Dantata, cousin of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, who is also believed to own up to 20 percent of the company.
