Below is the congratulatory message Atiku wrote on his facebook page... My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy. The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.

Below is the statement that was jointly released by both UK, and the U.S concerning the collation of the votes from the just concluded elections. Our governments welcome the largely peaceful vote on 28 March. The Nigerian people have shown a commendable determination to register their vote and choose their leaders. So far, we have seen no evidence of systemic manipulation of the process. But there are disturbing indications that the collation process - where the votes are finally counted - may be subject to deliberate political interference. This would contravene the letter and spirit of the Abuja Accord, to which both major parties committed themselves. The Governments of the United States and the United Kingdom would be very concerned by any attempts to undermine the independence of the Electoral Commission (INEC), or its Chairman, Prof Jega; or in any way distort the expressed will of the Nigerian people. By the way, elections result have been announced in some states.. below are some.
Hmnn.. who know how many of his kind was not caught...this elections is just.... should i say a sham?....smh And to think that he was a former state commissioner, and even contesting for a senatorial seat in the just concluded polls....This is a BIG shame!

Below is what Nobel Laureate winner said in an interview with The Guardian UK on Sunday: “We’re talking about a very positive response by the public in terms of determination to register and vote but, you know, this has been one of the most vicious, unprincipled, vulgar and violent exercises I have ever witnessed.I just hope we won’t go down as being the incorrigible giant of Africa. “This one was like a no-holds-barred kind of election, especially, frankly, from the incumbency side. One shouldn’t be too surprised anyway given the kind of people who are manning the barricades for the incumbent candidate. “Most expensive, most prodigal, wasteful, senseless, I mean really insensitive in terms of what people live on in this country. “This was the real naira-dollar extravaganza, spent on just subverting, shall we say, the natural choices of people. Just money instead of argument, instead of position statements.

An interesting drama played out in Lagos recently, after some criminals who were with two baboons waylaid a man as he was coming out from the bank at Ogba area of the state. The unsuspecting victim who withdrew the sum of N230,000 from the bank was shocked when he stepped out only to see some roughly dressed young men with two giant-sized baboons starring at him menacingly. Without blinking an eyelid, the man took to his heels, abandoning his bag of money. Crime Guard gathered that the bandits used their baboons to scare the victim after driving close to the banking premises with an unregistered Nissan Primera. It was learnt that two of the suspects alighted from the vehicle with two baboons and ambushed the man as he was coming out of the banking hall after withdrawing the money from his account. The is the APC vice presidential aspirant getting accredited with his wife. Meanwhile, after the card reader that was accrediting Jonathan and wife 'failed', they have finally been accredited, and cleared for voting... (Hmnn...... anything just to discredit the card readers.. NA WAH!)
Call me whatever you want after seeing my headline, but I very well know that within you, there is an awareness that the corrupt candidate will win in today’s election, not the candidate who lives by said morals. I have eight reasons for saying so. 1. Because every voter in Nigeria has his/her own hypothetical belief that most politicians are corrupt and there is very little an idealist politician can do to reform the system. So what difference would it make anyway, even if an idealist manages to win? 2. Because the administrative system in Nigeria is outdated when it comes to having a decentralised system for any public information and this allows corrupt politicians to play their game with much ease. It means, rigging is sure to happen today.

NATIONAL BROADCAST BY PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFR ON THE 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS, FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2015 Dear Compatriots, As we prepare to go to the polls tomorrow, I have come before you this morning to express my immense appreciation for the opportunity you gave me to lead this great nation of ours in the past four years.
I also wish to place on record, once again, my sincere gratitude for the support you have given my administration without which the significant progress we have made in recent years would not have been possible. In spite of the many challenges we have had to contend with since 1999, our present democratic dispensation continues to endure and grow stronger in keeping with the yearnings and aspirations of our people.
For most African women, tying a ‘Gele’ (head tie) is a difficult ordeal, which discourages them from wearing this lovely piece and promoting our rich culture. The CEO of Opeke, Yinka Thomas-Ogboja, happens to be one of many women who used to face this ordeal prior to an event. It was either they couldn’t tie the geles themselves, or dress up took forever because of their struggles with the geles and husbands started to turn red in the face, or they weren’t ready to constantly enrich the pockets of makeup/gele artists (no offense). Some even desired to dress traditional to church or certain functions but the headache of headgears was the beginning of abstinence. All these challenges led to the birth of Opeke translated “fine girl or “omoge”, an indigenous fashion brand aimed at promoting the African culture and beauty. Opeke launched with a signature line called “Asake”, already pleated, easy-to-tie, ready-made geles.

APC's national leader,Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said he has packed his bags and is ready for arrest if need be..
Below is what Tinubu said while speaking at the 7th edition of the Bola Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos on Wednesday .
“(There are) all kinds of threats and reports that they are ready to arrest APC leaders; they are busy making sinister plans instead of leading the nation; this nation is not for sale, it is for change; positive change that we can believe.
“For me, personally, I have packed a small bag. They may arrest me and others, but they cannot arrest an idea whose time has come. The time for a common-sense revolution has come. So, Nigeria, in calling for a common-sense revolution, I do not advocate violence; I abhor it.
“What we seek is a revolution to use our votes to throw out ineffective leaders and we shall do it. It is a demand for a true electoral democracy and the responsive leadership associated with it. The revolution is not a violent one to tear things down. It is a positive one with our fingers to repair and restructure a nation when we vote.”
